Who we are

We are a family business originating over 30 years ago.

Our story begins with Anibal Torres, when a family member in Colombia presented him an emerald as a gift. This thoughtful gift is what ignited everything. Captivated by the sentiment and allure of the gemstone, Anibal set a vision to share this back home in Australia.

Since then, Anibal’s journey has led us to become one of the most prominent merchants of Colombian Emeralds in the Jewellery Retail Industry of Australia.

As the years progressed and relationships in the industry formed, Torres Jewel Co also set out to supply other precious gemstones such as Diamonds, Sapphires, Rubies, Aquamarines, and select semi-precious gems.

With access to such beautiful gemstones, it was not long before close family and friends began having custom jewellery items created. Soon thereafter, we opened our doors to the retail market.

What we do

Our vision is to work closely with each customer to create memorable, meaningful jewellery that will be treasured. Every piece of jewellery holds a touching story, and it is a privilege to be part of that. Knowing that we play a part in something that is treasured and worn with pride is our gift.

We aim to take the time to openly share our deep knowledge and provide our customers with the best possible product and service we can. Having been guided by our customer relationships has propelled our success in moving forward into the future.

Equally as important is providing a space for our customers to be comfortable without pressure in exploring bespoke jewellery and the fascinating world of gemstones.
